Loverdose Perfume by Diesel, Loverdose made its debut on the fragrance market in 2011. Appropriately, its name combines the words “love” and “overdose.” That’s no surprise, given that it attracts wearers with a beautifully crafted heart-shaped purple jewel bottle and a seductive combination of soft, spicy, sweet, floral and powder accords.

Opening notes include fragrant mandarin orange peppered with the distinctive bitter and licorice-like aroma of star anise. The sharp, pungent essence of licorice enhances floral notes of jasmine sambac and gardenia in the perfume’s heart. Finally, amber, vanilla and woody notes blend in the base to deepen the fragrance’s sensual effects and give it lasting power.

Founded in 1978, the Italian label Diesel is well known for its line of denim clothing designed to appeal to younger consumers. It launched its first eponymous fragrance in 1996, following up with more than 40 total scents crafted by master perfumers such as Thierry Wasser, Olivier Cresp, Anne Flipo and Geza Schoen. The latest offering, Only the Brave Silver, appeared on shelves in 2018.
