Insolence Perfume by Guerlain, Launched in 2006, this bold, energetic scent is designed to surprise and electrify with its youthful joie de vivre.

It opens with sweet top notes of violet and raspberry. At its heart is a tangy trio of orange blossom, rose, and more violet. Finally, the fragrance's foundation combines balsam, raisin, iris, and tonka bean. It comes packaged in an arresting, half-sphere flacon with an oversized stopper shaped like a modern art rose. Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby) is the face of Insolence.

French designer Pierre-François Guerlain founded his eponymous perfumery in 1828. He began by providing clients with simple bath and body products, then quickly expanded his enterprise into fragrances. After a rapid rise fueled not just by stellar sales but also by enthusiastic word of mouth, the company quickly became the official perfumer for many of Europe's royal families and their courts. Today, its Paris boutique doubles a museum.
