Established in 1909 Paris, Lanvin was founded by Mademoiselle Jeanne-Marie Lanvin. After people began inquiring about where they could purchase the custom-made outfits she sewed for her daughter, she decided to launch her own clothing line. This proved to be a wise choice; all too soon, matching mother-daughter ensembles were the bread and butter of the company. The first perfume, My Sin, was released in 1924.
