Demeter was established in 1996 as a fragrance house based in Pennsylvania. Gaining inspiration from a Greek goddess of nature, the brand focused at first on creating scents found in a natural garden. Later on, the company began releasing fragrances that remind people of favorite scents, such as flowers or foods. The brand features collections that symbolize and focus on a major theme. The perfumes themselves are based around a single scent note and created in a linear fashion, which is different from the traditional pyramid creation.
