Byredo Gypsy Water Perfume by Byredo, First released in 2008, Byredo Gypsy Water is a free-spirited scent inspired by a romantic vision of Romani culture, combining aromas evocative of deep evergreen forests, campfires and fresh soil underfoot.

The top notes are brightly aromatic and energizing, mingling lemon and bergamot with earthy black pepper and the piquantly fragrant facets of juniper. As the scent settles, a smoky, woodsy heart emerges: resin-sweet pine, incense and powdery orris root. Vanilla pod and sandalwood merge with creamy amber accords to produce a lingering finish that satiates the senses as well as the soul.

The Byredo design house was founded in Stockholm, Sweden by Ben Gorham in 2006. Passionate about scent and its power to evoke memory from an early age, Gorham drew especial inspiration from a visit to his mother's Indian hometown, where he fell in love with the rich simplicity of natural spices and incense. Ben Gorham, Olivia Giacobetti and Jerome Epinette are the noses behind house fragrances.
